William
Winegardner is originally
from Gloucester City, NJ (home of the famous Envoy Motor Lodge, where dignitaries
such as Betsy Ross and Nipsey Russell are said to have slept) and is excited
to be appearing again with Lick the Spoon. He recently completed a highly
successful run of Paper or Plastic, a scandalous tell-all docu-drama about
The Gong Show’s anonymous clown, The Unknown Comic, at the Stage Coach
Wild West Dinner Theater in Newark, NJ. Of Bill’s performance, Gus
Krebs of the Bloomfield Daily Report said: “Mr. Winegardner, in the
role of The Unknown Comic, has proven once again that he can indeed act
his way out of a paper bag.” Prior to that, Bill was featured in a
short, but controversial run of Dynasty! (the Musical). Quoth one witness
to his performance: "As wealthy, passionate oil magnate Blake Carrington,
William Winegardner gives perhaps the finest performance ever seen at the
East Orange, NJ Bennigan's." -- Betty Mitchell, waitress. Bill is currently
rehearsing and producing Meet Me at the Love-in, a solo cabaret-style review
honoring the music of two of the 60’s most-beloved experimental-psychodelic-bubblegum
pop-jazz fusion-folk rock-harmony groups, The Sunshine Company and The Peanut
Butter Conspiracy, in which Bill will perform the rousing 11 o’clock
number, “There’s a Balloon, I Think I’ll Love it”.
Dates for the show and a venue are yet to be announced.
