The
Sterling Radio Showcase Banned in Warwick's first CD release was recorded live in Oswego, NY, in the summer of 2002. Actually the third in an annual series of Showcases, "Good Girls" is a parody of radio shows from the 1950's. The show consists mainly of a two-act 'drama' set in and around a Chicago-land correctional facility for girls (but our heroine is innocent, I tell ya!), but also includes a jovial announcer, a 'thrilling' sci-fi serial episode, and advertisements for great products from our sponsor -- the ubiquitous Sterling Family Products. The first Showcase was originally conceived as a family project for the entertainers and other participants at the Sterling Renaissace Festival. The recordings demonstrate the high level of talent and professionalism that characterizes that Festival, and benefit from the expert recording and engineering by JimHancock and Jimusic Mobile Digital Studios. This third recording has been released on CD for a wider audience to enjoy. We hope you do! Facts about the recording: *Features
13 voices playing dozens of characters, two live foley-sfx artists (plus
more sound effects added in post-production), and a 5-piece orchestra. Makes
a great gift! |
